We are so pleased with our decision to move to Studio 13. My three girls just love their classes and ask everyday, "Is today dance?". My two youngest adore the teachers and the tot combo class and my oldest loves her tap class. It is so fun for them without being just a play class, and still very much creating their foundation for proper technique later on. My oldest loves her ballet with Miss Britt. She takes the time and effort to work with each dancer individually to ensure they are doing everything the right way. Her point and poise is a great ideal for the girls to strive for. The Hip Hop class with Peety is unlike others available that we've seen or taken in Simi. The girls are learning actual hip hop moves and how to combine them--and not about promiscuous moves and shaking your hips. The Kidnastics class has also been great for all three girls. It has definitely help them become stronger, more balanced and flexible.
Studio 13 has been so accomondating with adding more classes to keep up with the growing demand and Laura is wonderful at making sure you get the right schedule for your family. We are so happy to be a part of such a great professional dance studio here in Simi.

Studio 13 has re-sparked Parker's love for dance. Your teachers are fun, encouraging and diligent in technique. Not only does Studio 13 have a positive and enthusiastic environment, but the dancers are unbelievable. They are so talented, watching them always impresses and awes me. These little girls love the challenge and it shows in their routines. This studio has given Parker such a gift in passion and love for dance. Parker had been at another studio in Simi for years, it was a good studio. The difference is Studio 13 is an amazing studio. The day Parker walked in she said, "I want to be here". Now she dances better and more than ever! The enthusiasm, fun and encouragement to always do your best is what makes Studio 13 the best.

Having taken lessons at both the Parks and Recreation department, as well as another local dance studio, Studio 13 has been a heaven sent experience! Laura and her staff anticipate our needs and provide a comprehensive curriculum for both boys and girls. The children are given lots of positive reinforcement, and our daughter’s self-esteem and dance skills have flourished at Studio 13. Dear to the Studio 13,
Everyday I go to the studio too and play with my friends. My best friends are Robbie, Karsen, Trevor, Mikey, Devon and Nick. We play in the kid’s room and I love Studio 13 to be there all the time and have fun with my friends. I like to buy snacks in the machine when my mom gives me the money. I dance Hip Hop before there and but now only Kidnastics because I have soccer. I like when Laura lets me have suckers too. I like my sisters Kaelyn and Klaire to do their dance and I love studio 13 all the time!

A testimonial……….Well It’s hard for me to put into words my personal testimony because I have soooo much to say! ☺ Don’t be scared Laura!!!
A year in a half ago a friend whom our children did Tae Kwon Do together, went to the same school together, we were also room moms together and went to the same dance studio, told me she was starting a dance studio of her own. My plate was pretty full because we also did t-ball, art, ice-skating, piano and soccer. And to be honest dance was last on my list. I wasn’t impressed with the results after almost a year that my girls had attended dance classes at another Simi Valley Studio. It was just after the recital had ended and the beginning of summer, my girls had already been given the ultimatum to pick one thing and stick with it because I was tired of running in circles with activities. I asked if they wanted to try the summer dancing at this new studio with teachers they didn’t really know and kids they weren’t really friends with. And also give up all other activities and put 100% into it to determine if this was the activity to stick with or move on. My expectations were low and I didn’t think this was their thing but I was willing to give them a fair chance to discover it on their own.
They started dancing with Studio 13 in July 2009 over the summer when its doors opened. And for the next few months I was seeing changes in my girls I could have never expected. The curriculum was so structured the teachers meant business and the technique was outstanding. They were actually looking like dancers more and more everyday. My girls as well as my-self started to fall in love with this new little studio and all it had to offer us. They were making fast friends, so was I, they were taking more and more classes almost everyday and we were totally invested and part of the family by the end of summer!
I have an 8year old daughter Klaire who was 7 at the time, joined the mini teams. My other daughter Kaelyn is 11years old, 10 at the time, did a duet with her sister. This would be both of their very first competition years ever! Words cannot describe what that next year held in store for us. Little Klaire Bear was blossoming on stage in front of our eyes and Kaelyn was dancing with so much determination and drive. Aside from the phenomenal competition year Studio 13 had winning pretty much Platinum or High Gold across the boards. And National Champs it was the most amazing experience we could have ever been apart of. We walked away with so much fun memories, experience, friends to last a life-time, knowledge, drive and determination to do it all again but better this year!
My girls don’t even have thoughts to do anything else other than dance anymore. Most of our wardrobe consists of dance clothes. I permanently keep rhinestones available for use at all times. Our lives are pretty much eat, sleep and dance but we’re lovin’ every minute of it. They can’t get enough of Joy’s boot-camp (lol) ! I’m so thankful for the Holt’s (both of them) Babel’s and the Rice family, little Kaycee is really something else!
Whether it be at BBQ’s for the team, parades or dance moms night out, trips with dance friends and families, or even family tragedies. We are so blessed to have each other and be such a close happy little studio. Were growing every week and putting 13 on the map in the dance world and it feels good to be a part of it. In good times and bad and I’m sure they’ll come I have no doubts that Studio 13 will be a success for years to come.
Congratulations for all that you’ve accomplished. It’s hard being the “New” studio out there but in the end a professional staff, talented teachers and the kindness of the kids and families at Studio 13 speak for themselves! No one should ever make a child or family feel bad for dancing were they want to. Were walking proof that Studio 13 cares about families and kids!

Our family was encouraged to hear that there existed a dance studio here in Simi Valley. We had been attending The Rage on Devonshire and dreaded the long ride with traffic and stress. We heard about Studio 13 through a family flyer and located their studio when it resided off of LA avenue. We still did not venture in to see first hand what the studio was all about. Then the following year we saw that the studio was moved on First Street and were thrilled that it was so close to home. So we took the steps to get our son involved. He loved his teacher right off the bat and was excited to make the change from The Rage. The staff was extremely professional and kind. The teachers seemed well versed in their area of expertise and really enjoyed sharing their craft with upcoming dancers. The facility looked inviting and hip for the kids providing nice bathrooms , lockers and a nice place to do homework. We are thankful for the commitment we see in the leaders and feel confident that our son is learning and enjoying his passion of dance. Thank you Studio 13. You Rock!

My daughter Lily does the Tot Combo class with Miss Michelle on Tuesday afternoon. She lays her clothes out everyday and can't wait to take a nap so she is well rested for her dance classes. At first it was about dressing up in her ballet clothes but now she absolutely loves to dance. She heel/toes all over the house and twirls, plies...it is so sweet. I was a dancer and love to see this grow in my own child. It was a gift in my life. I have been inspired seeing the older girls dancing. They are amazing!
My 2 1/2 year old boy told me the other day Iwant to do boy dancing momma!" He loves going and playing in the back area which is great as I can watch a little of the class. They love that laura gives them a lollipop at the end of class. It is a highlight.

I am Melissa'a Grandma and I just wanted to let you know how much I have enjoyed watching my granddaughter, Melissa Vetti, dance. She is on the competition team and I have followed this team of girls to a few competitions. I was impressed about their profesional attitudes and kindness they show each other.

My sister Melissa Vetti has been dancing for a while, and I can see that it has had a very positive effect on her life. I can see that she looks forward to her classes whenever the week is starting, because she makes sure to set enough time aside to get to class on time, or even early. Another thing I can tell is that she's very dedicated to it. I drive her and my other brother home from school in Oak Park (about a 15 mile, 20-25 minute drive). On the days with her early classes, she is always nervous about whether or not she will get there on time. This shows to me that she seems to care very much for this (along with all the time she spends).

Studio 13 is a freindly and fun enviroment for kids and parents! My 4 year old daughter Angelyce loves going to class! She takes tot combo (ballet/tap) and hip hop she started month ago with Ms Michelle! She loves her teachers and classes! My 4 year old daughter started tap and ballet this summer and she loves it. I have not yet had a problem getting my daughter in the car to go to "dance class". Ms. Michelle is awsome with the kids and even my 18 month old son is starting to move to the music just from watching her every week. Studio 13 is great! Studio 13 is such a great dance studio. My daughter is currently taking 3 types of classes and has been attending Studio 13 for 1 year now.
