Another amazing year went by so fast and then recital came. Our second annual recital, "The Power of 13" was a new outlook for me. I had the privilege of being backstage with all the kids and excitement. Evenbackstage the recital was organized and ran smoothly and was a great experience. The kids were so excited to go on stage. They were ready when they needed to be and patiently waiting their turn to go onstage. Some were going for the first time, others were pros. The first timers were excited and nervous all at once. Their experienced recital friends were encouraging them and telling them it was going to be fun. When they came off stage, their smiles were from ear to ear. I kept hearing how much fun it was to be on the "Big" stage. The "Power of 13" never ceases to amaze me. These kids are having the time of their lives dancing their hearts out. They have made new friends and are part of an even bigger picture, a dance family. It is an experience like no other and will last them a lifetime. Thank you Studio 13 for being a great place for kids to grow and have fun learning. Thank you for all your hard work and making Studio 13 the place that it is. We love you.

Thank you for having 2 recitals and breaking it up so that they aren’t so long. I attended the 2nd show and was truly touched by the time and effort that was put into every single dance. It was just long enough to enjoy all types of dances but not to long to be saying when will this end. "Entertaining, organized, encouraging, personable and fun are words that could be used to describe the "Power of 13" 2011 recital. You could see the fun all of the kids were having on stage and the great choreography the instructors put into each performance. We enjoyed watching the real-time backstage slide show to see how excited the dancers were and the great friendships they've developed. There are so many talented, passionate dancers and instructors at the studio--it was also great to be able to see the impressive competition routines in person. " The Shue Family

Because of your patience with Lennix and your willingness to encourage her even when it wasn't warranted- we have spent the last hour and a half looking up things like arabesque, tendu, and dégagé on YouTube. We may just have a dancer on our hands after all ;) Thanks again for being such a great teacher and for putting on an amazing show.

My family was so impressed with this show. We could tell endless hours of preparation was put into every detail from the costumes to the dances. Everything went so smoothly! We really enjoy the extra touches that you do in everything. From the front desk to all the amazing teachers everyone is always so enthusiastic! No wonder you guys are growing like crazy. Although we do not attend Studio 13 yet, I wanted to go to the recital to get an idea of the type of Studio “Studio 13 Dance” was. I have been looking for a permanent dance studio for a while now and heard Studio 13’s name at a couple of competitions I attended. I had called and spoke with Laura and she was extremely informative on everything I was asking about. When I brought my daughter and a couple of family members to see the show we were extremely happy with what we saw. We do not live here in Simi so it would be a drive for us but we heard such nice things about Studio 13 we had to check it out. What better way than attend a recital! Needless to say this was a great idea and we look forward to checking out the studio in the fall! Thank you Studio 13 for a wonderful show of recreational and competitive dance routines. Everyone looked like they were having so much fun.

We are so pleased to be a part of your dance studio. The level of patience is unbelievable! Our family will always cherish Mommy & Me class, the transition to Tot Combo and oh....the Father Daughter Dance. Both of you were right, a memory that will last forever! A few months before recital time came...all Emily could say is "Mommy I want Hip Hop"...I think we are in for additional dance classes this coming year!
